Landing at Tampa International Airport is only the first part of a beach vacation. You still need to reach your hotel, condo or vacation rental, collect your keys and settle in. Planning your airport transportation before departure gives you one less task to handle after your flight.

Start with the exact beach address
North Redington Beach, Redington Beach and Redington Shores are neighboring communities, but the names are not interchangeable when arranging a pickup or drop-off. Send the full street address and property name rather than simply saying “the Redingtons.” Include the building or entrance instructions if your rental has more than one access point.
For a condo stay, ask your host whether vehicles should meet guests at the lobby, driveway or another designated area. Let your driver know about gate access or restrictions before arrival. Avoid putting private access codes in public booking comments or reviews.

- Number of passengers, including children.
- Number and size of suitcases, plus any bulky items.

Passenger count alone does not establish whether a vehicle will fit your group. Several large suitcases, a stroller or golf bags can change the space required. Confirm capacity when requesting your quote, rather than leaving it until the airport pickup.
Agree on the meeting point before you arrive
Ask for clear pickup instructions and keep your phone available after landing. Follow the airport signage and your driver's confirmed directions. Do not assume that a private car pickup uses the same location as a rental-car shuttle or app-based ride.

How much time should you allow?
There is no single journey time that works for every arrival. Traffic, weather, the day of travel and your exact beach address can all affect the trip. For the return ride, give your driver the flight departure time and confirm a pickup time that allows for the road journey, baggage check and airport screening.
Also consider your rental checkout time. If checkout and departure are far apart, arrange luggage storage or a planned stop in advance; do not assume waiting time or extra stops are included.
